Jubilate Bell Choir began in the mid-1970s as a beginning bell choir to supply new ringers as needed to the Wesley Ringers, the original bell choir at First Methodist-Lovington.  Because of attrition, it eventually became necessary to merge the two and the name “Jubilate Bell Choir” was adopted.  Our primary function is to worship God through the music of the bells, whether in a traditional worship service or playing at community functions.  We currently have 14 ringers for five octaves of bells.  Our choice of music covers almost all types of church music from hymns and praise songs to the more classical settings.  We meet on Sunday afternoons from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm in the music room of the church.  Anyone interested in more information about the bell choir, including playing or substituting, can contact Judy Green, Director of Music, 575-396-3421.

JNC is a group that consists of children ages 5 through grade 5. We meet on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30. During the hour, we start off with a short Bible lesson and the kids have a quick snack. In the fall we work on songs that we sing in worship once a month and also on a Christmas musical that we present to the congregation in December. The musical consists of speaking parts, solos, and dancing! In the spring, starting in January, we work on handbell music along with continuing songs that we sing monthly in worship!
