First, we make an effort to help those who are looking to belong. We step out of our comfort zone and invite someone to church. Let's share the love this church has for each other with the rest of the community.
Second, we take the time to pastor those we reach. We tell them of the great news. We pray with those who we don't know. We love unconditionally, just as God loves us, sin and all. We are not here to judge others because we do not want to be judged.
Third, we take the time to teach. Sunday school is essential for all ages, and maybe we can sit in and teach a children's Sunday school class, or perhaps we can fill our Sunday School classes. Through scripture and our mission statement, we are told to go out and make disciples of the world who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.
And Fourth, we have to do something. Ephesians 6: 7-8 says " Render service with Enthusiasm, as to the Lord and not to men and women, knowing that whatever good we do, we will receive the same again from the Lord, whether we are slaves or free." This means we serve out of our love for God and not for ourselves or the recognition of others. We should be reminded that we are made to serve and not to be served.
